Letter: What if Grandma gets hit by a reindeer on my lawn?

I just finished reading “Grandma got run over by a reindeer — the legal liabilities” by Rohn K. Robbins in the Dec. 25 Vail Daily. You talk about informative! I had no idea that so many people might be involved legally in a simple hit-and-run. 

One quick question if I may: What happens when Grandma gets hit by a reindeer on my lawn? Am I responsible for any damages? If it was my property that caused the accident, do the Grandma and Santa both get to sue me? I mean after all that eggnog how was I supposed to keep her out of my yard?
