Letter: Vote ‘yes’ on 7A

I strongly encourage universal support of Eagle County Conservation District Ballot Issue 7A this November because sustaining biodiversity and healthy ecosystems are integral to maintaining the quality of life in our mountain communities. Our local conservation district provides resources and technical assistance to landowners to promote sustainable practices that protect valuable soil and water resources.

Healthy ecosystems can boost local economies, improve productivity and protect communities and infrastructure by helping to mitigate the impacts of natural disasters. It is a very small ask for such a valuable investment in the health and sustainability of our community and its natural resources.
