Letter: Typical media bias with Park City ski patrol strike article

The article on the Park City resort ski patrol strike is typical media bias, something that seems to be the norm in today’s media climate. As a journalism major and retired public affairs officer — what happened to who, what, when, where, why, and how to let the reader draw their own conclusion?

I’ll hand it to you that the media has relied on anonymous sources, but the concern of safety on the mountain by the anonymous source is sensationalism. Furthermore, this story goes beyond that by naming every retail, lodging, and restaurant Vail Resort owns in our town that the strikers want people to boycott. Was that necessary? I have my own opinions, but let me draw my own conclusions.
