Letter: Thanks to Kathy Chandler-Henry

It was a great privilege for me to have gotten to work with Kathy Chandler-Henry during the entire time she served as an Eagle County commissioner since she was appointed to that position just a few months after I was first seated on the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners in 2013. We worked together at many meetings over the years dealing with statewide legislative issues. Our two counties worked very well together on areas of common interest to all the residents of the Eagle and Roaring Fork valleys. 

Though she went on to work a lot in the water world, helping protect our precious water resources in western Colorado, while I concentrated on aging issues for our state’s growing population of older Coloradans, we both had the goal of making things better for the future of our citizens.

Congratulations, Kathy, for a terrific job during your time as commissioner, and thank you for your service. Enjoy your free time now that you have gotten your life back,  and I look forward to visiting from time to time.
