VAIL An old friend has a new look at the classically remade Tivoli Lodge in Vail Village. The Tivoli was among Vails first European-style lodges built in the 1960s. It has been entirely rebuilt from the ground up over the past two years while maintaining its old-world charm. We are so proud of our hotel and all the people who helped make its second-coming a reality, said owner Bob Lazier, who built the first version with his wife Diane during Vails early years. We want to show our guests what a difference 40 years of experience in the lodging business and a modern sensibility about amenities and dcor can make. The new-look Tivoli features 62 oversized guest rooms flush with pampering touches including down pillows, luxurious linens, massive soaking tubs, separate walk-in showers, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, mini-refrigerators and wireless Internet access. But it was the level of service that was most important to the Laziers. This hotel is our home, said Diane Lazier. We raised our family in the old Tivoli Lodge and watched as Vail grew from humble beginnings to the top-rated ski resort in North America. Now were thrilled to see Vail being reinvented and to be a small part of that renaissance with our new lodge.Situated between Vail Village and Golden Peak, the Tivoli is steps from the Vista Bahn. The new Tivoli maximizes that location with rooms that offer mountain and Vail Village views, including the Seibert Suite, named for Vail founder Peter Seibert, with views of both Vail Mountain and the Gore Range. The Tivoli also includes meeting rooms, a library, a fully-equipped fitness room, two outdoor hot tubs and underground parking and ski storage.Tivoli guests can enjoy the Brown Hound Lounge, featuring signature Indini cocktails. The lounge, named for Tivoli mascot Indy, the Laziers own brown hound, is the focal point of the lodges new lobby.

The Vail Valley Chamber & Tourism Bureau (VVCTB) recently granted the Tivoli a platinum rating for lodging quality. We congratulate the Tivoli Lodge on this accomplishment, as receiving the highest overall ranking within the entire Valley is a testament to the Tivolis commitment to raise the bar for quality and luxury, said Katie Barnes, VVCTB director of quality assurance. The Vail Valley Chamber & Tourism Bureaus Lodging Quality Assurance program is the first community-wide initiative of its kind in the nation as it evaluates all properties under a consistent, standardized rating system– the end result is an enriched customer experience. Our family is very grateful to the VVCTB for its careful oversight of all of the Vail Valleys lodging properties, said owner Bob Lazier. Our guests here at the Tivoli are very much enjoying the difference 40 years of experience in the lodging business and a modern sensibility about amenities and dcor can make.
