What’s new or exciting at your place?
We have a 3-D, digital CT Scan right here in the Vail Valley office. This state-of-the-art technology is essential for precise diagnosis and effective surgical procedure planning. By viewing facial structures including soft tissue, nerves, and bones in three dimensions, we can more accurately assess the patient’s needs with minimal exposure to radiation. Patients no longer have to travel to Denver for this cutting-edge service.
We also use the patient’s own growth factors to improve the rate and quality of healing.
Recently, researchers discovered that stem cells are available in the healthy pulp and follicles in teeth. These cells are regenerative, with the extraordinary potential to develop into many different cell types in the body. Vail Valley Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the only practice between Denver and Grand Junction to adopt the available technology for harvesting and storing stem cells from teeth, empowering patients with the potential for regenerative treatment and cures for future health challenges, with virtually no risk of rejection after transplantation. The new StemSave consumer cryo-storage service that we use gives patients the ability to preserve their own cells until they may need them. During the course of routine extraction of wisdom teeth, bicuspids during orthodontic treatment, and deciduous (baby) teeth, we can now recover stem cells and offer cryopreservation for patients for future uses.
What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition?
As the only board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Eagle County, my education and experience is key to providing top quality services to my patients. I have been developing precision surgical skills since 1984. From my four-year in-residency training to now, I have accrued nearly three decades of experience providing in-office general anesthesia and IV sedation. I truly respect my profession as an exact science and strive to continuously advance my knowledge while educating our community through informative seminars.
I offer patients and local dentists unsurpassed expertise, local convenience and comfortable solutions for dental surgery, wisdom teeth extraction, dental implants, facial trauma and reconstruction needs, as well as correction of facial deformities.
