Vail, Beaver Creek begin closing terrain as 2024-25 season winds down

Beaver Creek is down to its final week of the ski season, and Vail Mountain has two weeks remaining as of Sunday.

Blue Sky Basin closed for the season on Sunday on Vail Mountain, along with the Cascade chairlift (No. 20) and several other lifts. The Back Bowls, including Sun Up, Sun Down, China and Teacup Bowls, remain open.

Vail Mountain has recorded a cumulative 314 inches of snow this season and is boasting a 68-inch mid-mountain base as of Monday. Vail Mountain’s Closing Day is set for April 20.

Beaver Creek has closed most of its terrain west of the main village, with Rose Bowl and the area under Centennial and Cinch Express lifts remaining open. Beaver Creek has recorded a total of 250 inches of snow this season and is boasting a 64-inch mid mountain base as of Monday. Beaver Creek’s Closing Day is scheduled for Sunday.
