The Vail Alliance is planning two new RoundTables for 2025, starting with a retreat on May 16-18 or June 20-22 at the Knapp Ranch in Lake Creek south of Edwards. The RoundTable then continues over the next 12 months with monthly 2-3 hour meetings focusing on specific leadership principles.
Previously the Vail Leadership Institute, the Vail Alliance is a local nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the Vail Valley by encouraging and developing leaders who find themselves in the challenges of mid-life.
The RoundTable program is made up of a small group of peers who meet regularly to advance their understanding and application of purposeful living and leading. RoundTable members help one another by applying the proverb that declares “iron sharpens iron.”
While the RoundTable is similar to some other groups in communities around the country, its groups are smaller in size (6-7), creating a more private and confidential environment that gives more personal attention to each member. The focus of each RoundTable is on helping each person clarify or uncover their purpose, as well as providing practical approaches to each member’s specific challenges. The Vail Alliance uses a proven methodology called Inside First developed over 25 years by the Vail Leadership Institute and long-time practitioners in the fields of personal development, coaching, and leadership.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the company of each and every participant in the RoundTable,” said Linda Hill, the previous owner of Hill Aveium Marketing. “I learned much, appreciated the camaraderie and the wonderful insights that each person provided to me and my business. Listening, learning, and experiencing the different viewpoints was so very rewarding. The RoundTable was a very worthy endeavor — actually priceless.”

“We are in desperate need for leaders who have taken the time to uncover their purpose and who live out this direction with integrity,” said Aaron Strietzel, the pastor at United Methodist Church in Eagle. “The RoundTable has allowed me to gain greater insight into my purpose. The group continues to support me in the process by helping bring clarity and encouraging me to live this purpose from the inside out. To spend time in a RoundTable small group in order to gain insight into your purpose and allow others to help clarify it and support you in the journey is one of the best ways you can spend your time.”
