Skiers to ride Colorado license plates?

DENVER, Colorado ” A ski industry trade group is spearheading an effort to offer Coloradans a license plate with a skier and a snowboarder on it. The proposed plate also says the group’s name: Colorado Ski Country USA.
Skiing and snowboarding are an integral part of Colorado’s culture, heritage and economy, says Rob Perlman, chief executive of Colorado Ski Country USA.
“Ever since I can remember, folks have been asking for a ski license plate for Colorado,” Perlman say. “We seemed to be the logical group to help work with the state to be able to offer one.”

The organization must now submit an application to the state that contains the names of 3,000 Colorado residents who want ski license plates, Perlman said.
The organizations plans to submit the prototype shown above right, but the final design would be determined by the state, Perlman said.
