Ralph Elwood Meyer, 89, son of Ralph and Irene Meyer, passed away on October 6th. He grew up in Minturn and graduated from Minturn High School in 1952 with six other graduates. He went on to college at Denver University where he excelled at football and wrestling. After graduating, he enlisted in the Marines where he served for five years, honorably discharging as an officer. He was an avid hiker, skier, fisherman and hunter. He knew every hiking trail and fishing hole in Eagle County! He and his wife Geri loved being involved in the Vail Club 50 where they so enjoyed spending time with their many friends. Ralph is survived by his wonderful wife of 67 years, Geri, their three married daughters, Laura, Kim and Jackie, and 7 grandchildren.
