March 12, 1985 – January 7, 2025
Native Eagle County resident and local musician Donnie passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones Tuesday, January 7th. He endured a lengthy battle with Chondrosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.
A memorial service will be held at the Eagle Methodist Church; Friday, January 17th at 11:00am. A pot luck will follow with a place for music and stories.
Donnie is survived by his father Eleno Velez, brother Ezra Velez, sister Bessie Collett, his love Karie Konopasek, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Vickie Foral-Velez.
