Semi rollover shuts down I-70 westbound with no estimated time of reopening

All lanes of Interstate 70 westbound are closed west of Vail, according to an Eagle County Alert around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday.

The call came in around 2:27 p.m. for a semi-rollover near mile marker 173, according to Trooper Sherri Mendez with the Colorado State Patrol.

Colorado Department of Transportation said there is no estimated time of reopening and is advising people to use Colorado Highway 91 to Leadville and then U.S. Route 24 back to Interstate 70.
