Eagle County Democrats to host ‘People’s March’ on Saturday in Eagle
The Eagle County Democrats invite the community to join the People’s March on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 1-3 p.m. at Brush Creek Park & Pavilion in Eagle.
The afternoon begins with a march around Brush Creek Park and Pavilion, followed by a rally featuring speakers that include:
- Madison Partridge, Executive Director, Mountain Pride
- Hannah Ross, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Representatives from Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains
- Sen. Dylan Roberts, Colorado Senate District 8
- Rep. Meghan Lukens, House District 26
- Matt Scherr, Eagle County Commissioner
- Melina Valsecia-Monreal, Executive Director, Eagle Valley Community Foundation
- Mateo Lozano, Organizing Manager for Summit, Lake and Eagle County, Voces Unidas
The speakers will address standing in solidarity with our immigrant community and LGBTQ+ individuals, protecting personal freedoms and reproductive rights, and showcasing how state legislatures like Colorado are spearheading efforts to safeguard democracy.
The Eagle Police Department will be on-site to help ensure safety. Those interested in attending are encouraged to pre-register at Eagledems.org
