After more than 75,000 votes, Best of Vail Valley award winners revealed

This might be election season, but instead of keeping tabs on the county commissioner races or the president of the United States, the Vail Daily has been busy counting your votes to see who has the best pizza, yoga, toy store and beer in Eagle County. The Best of Vail Valley 2024 votes are in, the people have spoken, and the results are on newsstands now and at BestOfVailValley.com/winners.

The nomination period started in July and voting began in August. There are six category groups this year: Arts and Activities, Body and Soul, Food and Drink, Health, Service and Shopping. New this year, readers were able to cast their vote for Best Margarita, Best Live Sporting Event, Best Music Series, Best Artist (painter, photographer, jeweler) and more.

This annual Vail Daily readers’ survey is a great way for the public’s voice to be heard and to share their thoughts with longtime locals and guests. Have friends in town? Grab a copy of the Best of Vail Valley magazine and use it to come up with ideas on what to do and where to go. Craving a burrito? Check out the list of the valley’s best. Need your car serviced? Find out who your friends and neighbors recommend. It’s all at your fingertips — in the magazine or online.

To celebrate the annual readers poll, the Vail Daily hosted an awards ceremony for the winners at the Vilar Performing Arts Center on Thursday night complete with some of the winners participating. Music was provided by Johnny Schleper and food was provided by Northside Kitchen, Mountain Fish House and Mountain Belles. To capture the moment, the Be Happy photo bus was one hand taking pictures in its Volkswagen photo booth.

There were 75,277 votes cast and the top voting towns were, in order: Edwards, Vail, Avon, Eagle, Gypsum and Minturn. Businesses with the most wins include Rocky Mountain Taco with nine awards, Main Street Grill with seven, and El Segundo, Slope Room and Vail Valley Wellness coming in with six awards each.

Businesses that took home top honors received a certificate that they can display at their place of business and the awards last for a year until the next Best of Vail Valley readers’ poll happens next summer. Many businesses have the certificates posted for each year they have won proudly hung on their walls.

The Best of the Vail Valley is all about the public’s input. It would not happen without you, your interest, your time and your vote so the Vail Daily thanks you and the businesses thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing what next year brings.
