When the ski season comes to a close, some people call it off-season, some call it mud season, and others call it deal season. This time of year, look for deals at area businesses. Take this time to treat yourself after working hard all winter and experience what the guests love so much about the Vail Valley. Here’s just a partial list of discounts and specials, contact your favorite locations to see if they are open and how you can support them (and have a little fun) while it’s a bit slower-paced in Eagle County.
Spas
Area spas represent the discount field the most this time of year and typically do specials on treatments in the spring and the fall, even before the winter ski season ends and the summer tourism cycle begins.
“The off-season is a fantastic time for all of us to slow down and indulge in some recovery. We always see a strong response from the local community to our spring and fall spa deals,” said Molly Gallagher, spa director at Spa Anjali.

Northside Coffee and Kitchen and Fattoria (both in Avon) will be offering 25% off the entire check each night during the off-season through early June.
“It’s that time of year and we are lonely. Come join us and take advantage of our deals,” said Jim Pavelich who owns Northside Coffee and Kitchen, Fattoria and Southside Benderz in Avon and Benderz Burgers and Ed’s in Edwards.
“Every month there seems to be something telling us to spend more money. We are giving people an opportunity to save money while doing the things we want to do like going out to eat,” said Lourdes Ferzacca of La Tour restaurant in Vail.
Check out DiscoverVail.com for a list of restaurants that are open this time of year in Vail. Call ahead to make sure your favorite place is not taking a break for a period of time. Reservations are also a good thing to do this time of year since the staff may be a little smaller and it helps the restaurant plan accordingly.
