Whether you have impatient, hungry kids or you are looking for a wonderful wine selection for yourself – or both – Sauce on the Creek is a family-friendly, community-driven family pizzeria and Italian eatery in Avon.

The wine list includes over 120 wines and all varietals from all over the world – Italy, Argentina, France, Tuscany, the Napa Valley in California and other highly-sought-after regions. With so many wines come a variety of price points, great for celebrating a whole host of occasions, or just a great day in the mountains.

A wine preservation refrigerator is able to keep eight total bottles fresh and available for pours as small as 1 ounce, just to taste some of the finest wines available in the valley. Sauce on the Creek keeps four “New World” wines (the Americas) and four “Old World” wines (Europe) available, in addition to all of the wines on their full list by the glass.

Some standouts include The Prisoner Red Blend (CA) and Stags’ Leap Merlot (Napa), and Renato Ratti “Ochetti” Nebbiolo (Piemonte) and Ruffino Ducale Oro Chianti Classic Riserva (Tuscany).

“We have a real community feel here. We just want everyone to come in and have a good time while they’re here. It’s a real laid-back environment.” Ross Cohen, General Manager

If wine doesn’t tickle your tastebuds, Sauce on the Creek also has over 200 bourbons, 60 tequilas and an extensive list of other drinks, available at all sorts of price points and pours.

With a large, welcoming dining area and a bar area featuring all of the sports, Sauce on the Creek is an escape from the high-paced day-to-day stresses of the world.

And the food is what settles the whole family down after a long day in the Rockies. The pizza is made using a combination of two ovens to get a particular flavor, and the Rigatoni & Sausage is, was and forever will be a favorite.

It all comes straight from Chef Michael Irwin, who oversees food at other Sauce establishments in the Rocky Mountains but works out of the one here in Avon. His extensive and impressive background in the valley shines with his creations at Sauce.

Chef Irwin is cooking up food that you, and your kids want on a cold winter day in Colorado. Apps to share, nightly specials (keep an eye out for succulent lamb shanks) and daily happy hour are all reasons to either stop by Sauce for the first time or keep coming back.

And whether you’re looking for a $3 pour of wine or a $200 bottle, calamari to share or your own pasta dish, there’s something for everyone at Sauce on the Creek.

“We have a real community feel here,” said Ross Cohen, General Manager. “We just want everyone to come in and have a good time while they’re here. It’s a real laid-back environment.”

Laid-back, with hot food to fill your belly and drinks you can’t find anywhere else – that’s Sauce.
