Vonn, the former Ski Club Vail athlete, had the top time on both runs.
Ski & Snowboard Club Vail's Erika Ghent moved up 12 spots in her second run to finish 11th.
In the men's race, Jimmy Cochrane defended his U.S. slalom title.
