he J4 boys and girls from Ski and Snowboard Club Vail had eight top-three finishes during three super-G races at Ski Cooper last weekend.

Karen Ghent, alpine program director for SSCV, and one of the J4 coaches, said that smart tactics and clean runs, and not necessarily a racer’s size, was key in helping these junior athletes have some fast runs. This was the first speed event this season for the J4s.
